History and Philosophy How we began:
 |  | | Louisiana Old State Capitol | | | Cangelosi Ward General Contractors L.L.C. was founded in Baton Rouge with the partnering of our Co-Managers, David Cangelosi and Robert Ward in 1985. The company began as a small firm with a vision of providing our clients with quality construction and personal service. Mr. Ward and Mr. Cangelosi set out to build and sustain a company by assembling an aggressive and experienced construction team to accompany their management talents. Over 2 decades later, with an acute attention to budget and craftsmanship, Cangelosi Ward General Contractors L.L.C. continues to provide excellent service and remain competitive in an ever changing construction industry.
As we have grown over the years, our goals today remain the same. We can cater to our clients specific needs and contract requirements with a spectrum of services, including traditional bid projects, cost-plus and negotiated contracts. We solicit Industrial and Commercial projects of all sizes. We have considerable experience with projects in a wide range of size and scope including; Educational, Healthcare, Telecommunications, Retail, Corporate, Restaurant, Institutional, Industrial and Religious. These projects include new construction, renovation/addition and tenant finish-out.
CWL Contractors LLC, our subsidiary in the industrial markets, focuses on building projects, foundations and civil construction solely in industrial settings i.e. Administrative Buildings, Control Rooms, Storage Facilities, Locker Rooms, Switchgear buildings and Warehouses. Executive management through David Cangelosi, Robert Ward and Marc Lundin; all have an interest in the success of both corporations. The commecial and industrial entities both utilize the same adminstrative and executive personel to ensure a seamless and cooperative effort.

| | | Management Strategy
Cangelosi Ward implements a management strategy to maintain the utmost control where communication and attention to detail are the keys. In addition constant communication between the project manager, superintendent and subcontractors, we integrate many of the current tools and technology to help expedite our efforts. The following are methods and technologies used for project controls:
Construction Costs: All our estimating, from budget estimates to final construction costs, is based in Microsoft Excel. The project management job costs reports and daily transaction ledgers are generated from our in house accounting software MAS 90. These softwares are utilized daily by both the Estimators and Project Managers to track and monitor the projects budgets and up date construction costs.
Project Completion Schedule: The Progress schedule is created in Primavera Suretrack. It is typically a bar chart schedule with the specific activities showing links, duration, completion, milestones, phasing etc. The schedule, being a dynamic document which changes daily, can be updated and edited as frequently as necessary.
Quality Assurance of the Project: In addition to the standard inspections for quality by testing agencies. We have a licensed architect on staff that will also serve as an in-house Quality Control Manager and will have a special interest in maintaining quality construction. In addition, we employ superintendents that not only want to complete the project on time and within budget but also pay special attention to produce a high quality project.
Selection of Subcontractors: On negotiated projects, for each trade that requires a subcontract, we solicit a minimum of (3) three subcontract prices from pre-qualified subs. Prior to receiving sub bids we will pre-qualify subs based upon their experience, success on past projects, manpower and financial stability.
Change Orders: The processing of change orders is controlled directly by the Project Manager. We make every attempt to control changes in cost in the field first, and be fair with all pricing. Should the project experience a change in scope that requires additional work the associated costs are completed only at the request of the architect or owner.
